The System Pharmacy Operations and Technology Director (System Pharmacy Director) acts as a member of the Senior Management team and is under the direction of the Chief Pharmacy Officer. The System Pharmacy Director is responsible for overseeing all pharmacies within the Health System and improving the operational pharmacy performance including: medication safety, patient safety, performance improvement, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, pharmacy financials, and identifying opportunities for technology advancement. This person will develop, review, and improve existing medication-related processes, policies, and practices. They will also continually communicate and enforce them appropriately throughout the Health System. The System Pharmacy Director will be at the forefront of the Allscripts EHR implementation and is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy application as well as other pharmacy technology including Pyxis.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
? Degree in Pharmacy, Pharm. D. preferred
? Current CA Registered Pharmacist License
? Previous hospital and clinical pharmacy experience
? Minimum 7 years hospital related pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
? Knowledge of clinic pharmacy workflows preferred
? Knowledge of unit dose systems, IV admixture, chemotherapy, clinical pharmacology, pharmokinetics, and drug use evaluation required
? Experience working with EHR, Allscripts preferred, but not required
