This position is very
visible and critical, and is directly responsible for producing social intelligence
used by our Sales, GTM, Marketing, Planning/Operations/Finance leaders. This
position is based in India.
We are looking for a
highly performing Senior Manager who is able to apply fact-based insights to
impact key business decisions and corporate strategy planning. In this role,
you will need strong skills in strategic thinking, deep data analysis and
modeling, analytic problem framing and solving; and generally be a very
Specific Job Duties:
- Tracks, collects, mines social and unstructured data across
all available public channels to generate unprecedented level of insights in
markets, competitors, our customers and competitors’ intelligence —including
competitors’ latest strategy, competitive installed base/customers, competitive
customer footprint/satisfaction/experience/adoption, etc. across key product
- Builds libraries of data and best practices for our Social
Analytics efforts and assist with social analytics implementation
- Initiates, conducts, and analyzes market and competitive
social listening, monitoring and analytics by regions, industry, products and
other dimensions. Provides analyses leading to timely, relevant, data-based and
- Drives the design and deployment of Social Intelligence
Executive Analytics Dashboards.
- Works with teams to assess market data availability, data
collection strategy, templates, and process, and to drive consistent
definitions, measurements and scalable processes.
- Expands the breadth and depth of social intelligence coverage
for industries, regions and products. Assists in developing and implementing
the vision, strategy, roadmap, new programs, and KPIs/metrics for Social
- Determines most effective, innovative and cost-effective
sources and methods for obtaining information.
- Conducts and supports regular Social Intelligence Key Insights
reviews/meetings/presentations with products, industry, and regional teams.
- Works with internal clients to develop and implement needs and
feedback surveys, and to proactively understand key business issues and
proposes what new social intelligence initiatives should be launched to address

prioritize simultaneous projects/deliverables/deadlines to successful completion

cross-functional and matrix environment. Proven ability to work with Sales,
Product Management/Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Executives.
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, economics, business or
related fields. MBA or related graduate degree preferred. 10 years related
experience, including 5 years of market research, market intelligence, business
intelligence, competitive intelligence or business analysis/planning
- A big plus if the candidate has worked for analyst firms such
as IDC, Gartner and Forrester. Especially desirable if the analyst firm
background is related to market data, Market Trackers, Total Addressable Market
- Strong SaaS, PaaS and IaaS knowledge and background. Good
knowledge of software (applications, database, middleware) or hardware (server
and storage) products and markets.
- Prior experience in enterprise software or hardware product
marketing or product management organizations.
- Experience deploying, building and managing Business
Intelligence/Analytics Dashboards. Familiarity with BI
applications/tools/reporting systems a plus.
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Excel (including advanced
reporting, formula, and pivot tables), PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience or some knowledge of statistical analysis software
a plus. Experience designing and executing both qualitative and quantitative
research and statistical data model building a plus.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.
As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Ability to work with Executives. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic. Team player. Experience using or implementing Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft applications. Basic HTML and web technology skills a plus. 8 years technology/industry experience and BA/BS/MBA degree.
