ITC Defense Junior Electrical Engineer in Vandenberg AFB, California
ITC Defense requires a Junior Electrical Engineer to support Directorate wide electrical integration and operations functions including but not limited to electrical planning, design, construction, acquisition, contract management, and electrical cost estimating and analysis for the Facilities, MILCON, and Environmental Management Directorate, Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Travel 3-4 weeks per year as required, both CONUS and OCONUS.
Knowledge of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Power/Control Systems as well as Power Quality.
Provide facilities power electrical engineering technical support. Provide technical support to electrical/power design and construction projects. Provide support and electrical knowledge for facilities planning, programming, design, construction and equipment installation for required BMDS facilities and infrastructure
Provide research, review, and recommend changes to support the implementation of electrical upgrades.
Support Special Studies and Analysis. Troubleshoot electrical power problems. Support electrical commissioning.
Assist with electrical policy reviews, integration, implementation, execution and compliance.
Assist in the preparation of and/or update of electrical policy documentation.
Assist with electrical planning, conducting, and responding to internal and external tasks.
Support electrical technical responses, programmatic documentation, and/or presentations.
Assist with preparing and coordinating responses and supporting documentation, and secure approval.
Prepare decision documentation such as briefings and supporting materials (white papers, fact sheets, status reports, progress reports, courses of action, gap analysis, and information papers) that support life-cycle electrical management of MDA facilities, infrastructure, and environmental activities.
Other electrical/power support as needed.
Active DoD Secret Clearance Required
5+ years electrical engineering experience
Experience with MILCON Projects a plus
Experience with: United States Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) a plus
Familiarity with Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization civil/structural project requirements a plus
Understanding of the application of funding to MILCON and sustainment projects a plus
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
