Legal Operations Analyst Staff Counsel BRC
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Serves as a team lead for the Staff Counsel Business Resource Center and supports the Manager, Staff Counsel BRC. Assists management in administering orientation for new staff employees, as well as, training, hiring, coaching and developing team including temporary personnel. Uses reference guides, training materials, and relationships with Staff Counsel offices to independently find answers to procedural questions and assist staff as needed. Ensures the office space and mail room are fully stocked. Orders office supplies and equipment for the Business Resource Center. Coordinates regular maintenance and repair of office equipment. Responsible for FedEx mailings and processing.s Troubleshoots technology problems in an effort to ensure the team has the resources needed to work effectively. Assists in the assessment of quality of team and individual performance. Accountable for document profiling and their input into the case management system. Oversee the organization, indexing and maintenance of the legal file. Assists staff as needed. Assists in monitoring operational effectiveness through various reports and metrics. Monitors completed work by the staff to assure the consistency and accuracy of data entry and mail processing. With guidance from management, is accountable for implementing process improvement techniques. Provides back-up for Legal Operations Specialists and Manager, Staff Counsel BRC as needed. Other duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for supporting the Business Resource Center (BRC). Responsibilities include serving as a Team Lead for the BRC staff, monitoring the flow of work to ensure consistency and accuracy, and assisting BRC staff by answering complex questions regarding incoming mail (paper and electronic) and entries into the Litigation Matter Application. This role will also assist in special projects in order to support BRC initiatives. This job is a Team Lead This job is a Team Lead: Directs daily work activities of a small group of employees. Works with higher level manager to set goals/objectives and provides input regarding performance of employees being led. Employees do not typically have formal reporting relationship to a team lead job. This job works under General Supervision: Incumbent independently performs a variety of duties, including potentially complex duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments (e.g. assigned customers, claims or other specified set of responsibilities); is expected to set priorities and meet specific goals and objectives of the function or unit. (Typically pertains to advanced/operational, senior professional, unit supervisor)
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:
Mail room logistics preferred. Associates Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience preferred. Prior management experience in a legal operational environment preferred.

High School Degree or GED required. A minimum of 2 years managing people or 2 years in a legal administration/operations role required Proficient in use of email, MS Office, internet search engines, and other software/applications required.
