Salt Lake County ASP Peer Mentor in SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah
Any one position in this classification may not perform all of the duties listed below, nor do the listed duties include all of the duties which may be found in positions of this classification. Depending on the area of assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides ongoing structured, stable and interactive environment for children.
Assists adult staff in addressing children's daily physical and emotional needs.
Assists adult staff in providing appropriate supervision based on child's safety needs.
Maintains professional demeanor, complies with agency policies and procedures, maintains Pledge of Confidentiality, and adheres to Providers Code of Conduct.
Provides a safe, clean and fair environment by engaging and monitoring youth to promote cooperation and compliance.
Provides positive mentorship to teens in DYS programs.
Provides support in facilitation of DYS programing.
Provides support in community outreach efforts.
Must pass a yearly criminal background screening by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations
Must have a valid Utah driver's license or Utah Identification Card
Must attend yearly 20 hour Peer Mentor Training
