Title: Welch Allyn Sr. Engineer, Electrical
Location: United States-New York-Skaneateles Falls
As an Electrical Engineer in the Sustaining Engineering group, you will take a lead role in supporting electrical design related activities for a diverse line of Welch Allyn Medical Devices. As part of the EE team your primary focus will be to provide sustaining and continuing electrical engineering support for Welch Allyn’s product portfolio.
You will play a pivotal role in all Sustaining Engineering activities/projects. Activities include correction of reliability
and field issues, component and material obsolescence, product enhancements, and cost reduction projects. You
will be tasked with identifying solutions to these issues and leading or supporting a cross functional group toward
implementation, including documentation and verification/validation activities.
Your strong background in electrical design coupled with your ability to develop relationships with suppliers, teammates
and individuals from other departments, will ensure your success in this role. Strong Communication skills.

Experience with Lean/Process improvement is a plus. Demonstrated Project Management experience a plus.
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters preferred.
Minimum of 7 years Electrical or Electro-Mechanical engineering experience
Previous experience in an FDA and/or ISO regulated manufacturing and design environment is strongly preferred.
Design of circuit boards equipped with embedded processors
Experience with UL & Intertek Safety standards, technical file creation.
Experience in electromechanical test automation, PLC programming.
Experience working with electronic design tools for schematic, layout, and design analysis
Experience with digital design and basic software development for testing hardware functionality
Experience with documenting designs and analyses per FDA certification process, including hardware requirements, hardware detailed design, DFMEA, Risk Analysis, and verification requirements
Experience with digital and analog sensing technology and interfacing sensors with embedded processors
Experience designing for radiated emissions, ESD, susceptibility to power transients, cost, reliability, DFM
Lab view Certified preferred
