*Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:


Perform exams according to departmental protocol Performs exam following defined protocols. Assure that exams are placed in “taken” status in Meditech with proper data prior to radiologist interpretation. Completes appropriate documentation for physicians for exams performed Completes data sheet following exam prior to being forwarded to radiologist with pertinent information. Performs vascular exams Performs carotid studies, peripheral arterial l studies, and peripheral venous studies as assigned. Maintains appropriate documentation for ICAVICAL. Maintains logs and documentation necessary for ICAVICAL certification. Must perform quality exams Will be measured through departmental quality control program. Documents patient teaching Explains various examinations, verifying patient understanding and completion of required documentation. Collects relevant information. Proper utilization of equipment Competency check off sheets completed for each piece of equipment utilized. Assures comfort of patient Observe patient condition, assess needs during clinical exam and transport Other Duties as Assigned Make sure rooms are kept in an orderly and respectable fashion with adequate supplies and other duties as assigned.

This position takes call; required to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call. (Rotating)

*Position Qualifications:


Type Required Preferred License (Virginia): None Degree: Associate Degree from accrediteted radiology program or approved hospital based program or RVT certified

Experience: Certification/Registry: Certification in Vascular Ultrasound (RVT or RDMS) within 1yr of hire date
Other: CPR

This position takes call; required to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call. (Rotating)
