JOB SUMMARY: To promote occupational health and safety within the organization and eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations which may lead to human injury and/or property damage.
PHYSICAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Frequent bending, twisting and standing
Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions. (hot, cold dust, dirt, noise, and gas fumes)
Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week
Ability to work a flexible work schedule
Assist in identification, analysis and control of occupational hazards
Analyze work environments and design programs to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, radiological, and biological agents or ergonomic factors that involve the impact of equipment design on a worker’s comfort or fatigue. They may conduct inspections and inform the management of a business which areas may not be in compliance with State and Federal laws or employer policies, in order to gain their support for addressing these areas.
Interpret accident prevention programs, safety manuals and safety policies
Communicate safety awareness to all employees.
Maintain employees right-to-know(MSDS)
Evaluate and update JSA’s
Investigate and closed out all accidents/incidents via reporting system
Audit and inspect all location sites for hazards, placed corrective actions in place (Observation list)
Assure safe work practices
Conducting orientation safety training
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Through Knowledge of work place safety and DEP, DOT, OSHA compliance laws.
Trained in First aid, CPR, BBP, Safe land, and H2S
Experience in the oil and gas drilling industry preferred
Ability to communicate and comprehend the efforts of others
Ability to think and act quickly
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in communication skills
Working together in a positive team environment.
Must be organized and attentive to details in a fast pass working environment.
Ability to multi-task
Ability to operate independently is important.
Ability to champion a company safety culture.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience
First Aid (Preferred)
Forklift Training (Preferred)
Lock out, Tag out (Preferred)
Well Control School (Preferred)
PEC Premier (Preferred)
Certified Safety Trainer (preferred).
Train the Trainer (Preferred)
