The Client Services Engineer provides advanced and in-depth support for escalated service tickets from the Customer Support Services team. Some advanced technical experience is necessary, but more importantly, we are looking for an individual who is highly customer focused, patient, an effective communicator, self-initiating, has a positive attitude, and is able to prioritize and execute tasks without micro-management. The role will focus on finding and resolving issues at a root cause level primarily within VMWare infrastructure and storage environments.

Essential Functions

  • Manage Service Requests, Incidents, and Problems through a ticketing system.

  • Help ensure day-to-day operations of IT Infrastructure.

  • Primary function will be to administer and support

  • VMWare

  • Virtual Infrastructure and Hardware

  • Backup and DR Administration

  • Administration of Microsoft Windows Server andWindows-based applications, Operating Systems (Server), and Server Roles (AD DS, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print Server, File Server, Terminal Server, etc.).

  • Lead periodic technical meetings.

  • Any other task or duty as assigned or required.

Physical Demands

  • Candidate should be able to lift 75 pounds.

  • Job will require sitting for long periods of time, and may occasionally require bending, lifting, and driving.

Required Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • Candidate should have high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Candidate should have at least five years of experience in a job supporting Windows Servers, as well as at least one year supporting VMWare (or substitute advanced training/certification).

  • Candidate should have at least one industry-standard certification for systems or network administration.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • Associates or higher degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Experience in the following is preferred:

  • VMware

  • Various SAN and Server Hardware (HP, EMC, etc)

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Server 2012, and Server 2016

  • Backup Tools and Applications:

  • Veeam

  • Avamar

  • Active Directory

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Basic networking skills

  • VMWare Certifications

  • Microsoft Certifications
