Right now, we are seeking an Application Security Engineer, Risk Management based Montvale, New Jersey.
As an Information Security Engineer you will design, implement and evaluate security solutions for IT Systems and applications. You will utilize a diverse set of threat modeling techniques, assess new and existing applications to identify security gaps, and develop a mitigation plan based on secure design principles, policies and procedures. You are the critical, senior security consultant and architect on global-in-scope project teams. You will certify Western Union’s security posture, build infrastructure and process, and create strategy.

Serve as atechnical expert for enterprise security operations through analysis ofthreat intelligence
Provideoversight and consulting on web and mobile applications security mattersto application development, product engineering and network operationsteams
Evaluateapplications for appropriate and effective use of security controls usingtools and techniques such as source code analysis, vulnerability scanners,and manual testing techniques
Perform RiskAssessments and Threat Modeling of new and existing Applications.
Track openissues and follow up with different teams to address the open issues
Assist withthe design of cloud security strategy and processes
What you will need tosucceed:
Ability to manage complex application security projects/ programs in a large enterprise organization following differentdevelopment methodologies like SDLC and DevOps
Knowledge in secure application programming, codereviewing, and penetration testing of web and mobile applications
Expertise in application, infrastructure and networksecurity
Strong experience translatingvulnerabilities and threats into business risks
Experience withoperating environments including Windows, UNIX and Linux
Knowledge of modern web and mobile applicationsframeworks and their security requirements
Knowledge of network architecture, protocols, andstandards
Knowledge of Web Application Firewalls, SSL/TLS,Forward and reverse proxies
Knowledge of security considerations aroundvirtualization and cloud applications
Ability to communicate technical security requirementsto technical and non-technical personnel
Knowledge of Cloud security architecture, preferablyAWS
Ability to collaborate with technical and vendorpersonnel
