AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Senior Manager of Commissioning for immediate employment in the Mexico City, Mexico office.
The Senior Manager of Commissioning will have overall oversight and management responsibilities for the Commissioning of the construction phase of the Airport Terminal building on the construction phase of the main terminal building for the New Mexico City Airport project. This position will be responsible for the oversight and management for a major airport terminal building for a minimum of 3+ years in Mexico City.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Leads a multi-national joint venture partnership performing as the Construction Manager for the 8 million square foot terminal, new control tower, and ground transportation center
Ensures alignment of engineering deliverables generated by the project engineering team meet the project requirements in terms of technical content and follow project specific procedures such as the engineering plan, quality plan, document numbering and levels of approval
Resolves technical queries generated by the project engineering team meet the project requirements in terms of technical content and follow project specific procedures such as the engineering plan, quality plan, document numbering and levels of approval
Strategizes, builds and implements delivery transformation framework and operating models with an aim to reduce cost to serve significantly to the customers and making businesses more competitive in the market
Leads the USGBC LEED Version 4 Platinum Certification for an airport
Develops commissioning and LEED implementation plans for the project
Assists in the integration of application of LEED to civil engineering
Supervises all witnessing and verification of pre-functional, functional testing and commissioning of MEP, building controls, Fire Alarm and Fire Protection systems, and building power & lighting systems
Supports Commissioning Requirements for NAICM sustainability requirements
Verifies and documents proper performance of all building equipment and systems
Coordinates with stakeholders to witness testing and training
Assists in the delivery of Operating & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, training programs, warranties and project close-out documents
Supports final equipment acceptance and documentation
Coordinates & interfaces with IT systems, Passenger Boarding Bridges, Baggage Handling Systems and fuel systems
Assists in activation and systems readiness
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or related engineering discipline
10+ years in airport projects in lead commissioning positions
Professional experience in a similar role supporting large facilities commissioning projects
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Prolog
Proficient with building controls/automation systems and system integration
Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and industry standards
Proven leadership and management capabilities
Proven knowledge of key software and computer programs designed for risk management
Experience in governmental projects or public works
Basic knowledge of the Spanish language
- 15+ professional experience in a similar role supporting large facilities commissioning projects
