Responsibilities

The individual in this role will serve as a member of the Developmental Disabilities Mobile Crisis Response team. The focus of this program is to provide time-limited home and community based crisis services that support individuals with developmental disabilities in the community. An essential component of this program is the assessment of the individual situation to determine the appropriate response to the crisis. When the Developmental Disability Mobile Crisis team is dispatched to the crisis location, the team assesses the need for a referral or crisis services. Crisis services occur through intensive on-site or off-site supports. The crisis supports are provided on a time-limited basis.

Responsibilities for the Licensed Counselor include but are not be limited to the following:

□Manages and directs the clinical activities of a 24/7 mobile crisis team for persons with Developmental Disabilities in a multi county area

□Performs functional assessments, monitors the mobile crisis team to ensure supports are identified by team members in accordance with the intent of the program,

□Serves as the lead clinician in providing oversight for mobile crisis team to identify services to resolve the crisis situation

□Provides consultation, training and supports to team members, consumers and natural supports

□Supervises and plans work of assigned staff

□Ensures documentation, reporting requirements and submission of required performance improvement documentation

□Monitors, evaluates, and records client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan

□Organizes support groups or counsel family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, and supporting the client

□Performs functional assessments and provides recommendations for supports

□Provides case management services related to identified treatment needs

□Provides training to direct care staff in implementing behavior modification techniques and behavior support plans

Qualifications

Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND eligibility to be licensed AND Two years of supervised experience in the area of assignment.
