Mortgage Transformation/ Operational Effectiveness and Projects Undergraduate Internship – Summer 2018

PenFed seeks a Mortgage Transformation Intern at its Corporate Headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA.

PenFed is looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our Mortgage Transformation department and provide troubleshooting and communication support to help achieve our goals.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work directly with the PenFed Mortgage Transformation Intern team. This internship opportunity will help you acquire data gathering and manipulation skills. Ultimately, you will collaborate with our team on various projects.

A successful candidate for Operational Effectiveness and Projects departments will be passionate about understanding processes and system impacts, documenting the systems and using data and other advanced techniques to surface process enhancements to improve business operations.

The candidate will work on process documentation, which requires understanding business needs and building reports.

What You Will Be Doing :

  • Participate as a team member on business requirement and process flow documentation

  • Establish a data capture tool in SharePoint

  • Work independently on intermediate level data gathering, validation, manipulation and ad hoc analysis tasks

  • Other projects as assigned

What We’re Looking for :

  • Seeking a current student completing a degree in Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

  • Experience or coursework in Intermediate/Advanced MS Office suite, basic networking, basic desktop troubleshooting

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Qualifications :

  • You must be enrolled in a four-year institution

  • You must have a minimum of 60+ credits completed prior to June 2018
