What You Will Be Doing
As a member of the Tax Services Team, the Senior Tax Associate is primarily responsible for providing tax compliance support in the delivery of U.S. (federal
and state) income, gift, and estate tax services to our clients. This person will work very closely with other Tax Services, Wealth Management, Estate Planning, and Investment Operation personnel in preparing tax-related deliverables for our clients. Successful candidates for this position will appreciate working in a comprehensive wealth management environment.
Prepare and/or review individual and fiduciary income tax workpapers
Prepare partnership, Corporation, and non-profit organization income
tax workpapers and returns.
Prepare gift and estate tax workpapers and returns.
Prepare payroll tax workpapers and returns.
Prepare income tax projections and estimated tax payment vouchers.
Prepare and review of client financial statements.
Research of tax-related issues and documentation of conclusions
Communicate (by telephone, written correspondence and face to face
meetings) with clients (and their advisors) and Wealth Managers as
Communicate (by telephone and written correspondence) with taxing
authorities to resolve identified issues, audits and deficiency notices.
Prepare transmittal letters and internal technical memoranda as
Identify opportunities for the involvement of other firm specialists.
Administer various Tax Services Group responsibilities (i.e., project
management and monitoring, e-filing, tax software, tracking of work flow, creating and maintaining templates, etc.).
Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need for this Position
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of progressive tax compliance experience is required.
The candidate must have a minimum tax experience of 2 years dealing with high-net worth individuals
CPA, MBT, or LLM in Taxation is preferred.
Occasional travel and periodic after-hours work will be required.
