The Getty Radio/Security Technician in Los Angeles and Malibu, California
Perform technical performance checks of mobile two-way radio equipment, console equipment, trunked radio systems, and other communications system equipment. Programming and maintenance of both conventional and trunked computer-based two-way radios.
Installs and maintains a variety of state of the art security systems and related components. Areas of specialization include closed circuit television, access intrusion alarms, access programming, fire/life safety, and commercial locksmith. May have vendor/contractor contact responsibilities. Works on assignments of moderate scope and complexity.
Applies knowledge of sophisticated security systems
Installs maintains and assists in the deployment of Getty security systems
Maintains logs of vendor/contractor delivery and completion dates
Researches and may recommend improvements to Getty security systems
Completes tasks that require an ability to recognize deviation
Two years of related experience in the installation, programming, maintenance and repair of electronic communications equipment (such as mobile or two-way radios). Must have good understanding of the operating principles of 800Mhz trunked radio systems and security systems.
Certification in area of specialization
Training in basic electronics and computers
Performs standard support functions
Applies knowledge of policies, practices, trends and information to assignments of moderate complexity
Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints
