Set-up machine for current fabric according to specification.
Monitor machine while running.
Perform quality checks.
Collect samples according to Quality Standards.
Report all problems according to appropriate ISO procedures and Working Standards.
Repair and/or clean defects when possible.
If repaired: Restart machine.
If unable to repair: mark defect and log on appropriate forms.
Tie-in or splice new beams and package yarn.
Transport rolls using forklift and/or hoist.
Operate inspection table.
Document using forms and computer.
Perform style changes.
Report all equipment problems to supervision.
Clean waste from machine and surrounding area.
Follow all plant safety rules.
Follow all ISO procedures and Working Standards
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Manual lifting, standing, bending, stooping, walking, carrying, hearing, normal vision, visual acuity and depth perception, feeling, pulling, pushing, reaching, turning, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, working from a ladder.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to heights; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to very loud.
Accept only those chemicals for production use which are appropriately labeled by the supply room and released by quality assurance. Contain and report spills and other chemical waste arising out of dip preparation and treating operations to supervisor, environmental engineer, process engineer and safety engineer.
Must follow prescribed safety procedures for work area. Job requires interaction with others, forklift operation in close proximity to others. Hearing protection and safety glasses required.
