U.S. Bank Credit/Underwriting Admin Mgr - Mortgage SVP Credit Policy in HOPKINS, Minnesota
Position reports to U.S. Bank Home Mortgage Chief Credit Officer and manages a Residential Mortgage Credit Policy Team of 31 FTE. Position establishes credit policy for all loans originated by US Bank Home Mortgage for both Retail and Correspondent channels. This position is a key liaison responsible for ensuring credit policies and procedures are adhered to with the objective of achieving loan quality and performance targets and growth objectives. In addition, this position handles the credit relationship with Agency and Government credit departments and Corporate Credit Administration. Other responsibilities include chairing the Credit Policy Council. Additional responsibilities that reside under this position’s leadership include Condo Project Approval, Underwriting / Credit Policy Help Line, establishing Credit Guidelines for new products/processes as part of product development team, as well as other field support functions related to administration of credit policy.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 to 15 or more years of Credit experience in Mortgage Industry
Must have Agency and Government Lending Credit expertise
Five or more years of managerial experience
Knowledge of MS Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
Knowledge of mortgage origination automation and rules applications for credit/underwriting
Expert knowledge of assigned business line or functional area
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Thorough knowledge of credit in mortgage industry
Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Team Player with 360 degree leadership skills
