Johnson Controls HR Manager in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

A. PRIMARY Purpose

Leads a field HR organization for an assigned country

B. primary DUTIES:

  1. Drives the implementation, communication and execution of multi-discipline HR policies, procedures, processes and initiatives

  2. Responsible for day-to-day application of the various HR disciplines

  3. Advises & coaches local management

  4. Ensures HR readiness for launch of key business strategic objectives, developments and/or organizational change

  5. Ensures full legal compliance (e.g. labor & tax laws, etc.)

  6. Fosters and promotes a climate of constructive industrial and labor relations

  7. Leads and monitors compliance effort at country level, ensuring all mandatory HR policies are launched and adopted

  8. Takes initiatives that promote positive employee engagement

  9. Submits reports and metrics on a monthly basis and as requested

    1. Helps to drive and ensures 100 % data integrity of PeopleSoft & payroll systems

    2. Prepares and submit necessary HR reports and metrics

    3. Is responsible for global compliance with corporate policies, SOX and legal requirements

    4. Liaises with functional or operational area managers to ensure that office administration policies, programs, and activities are appropriate for their current and future business needs

    5. Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops a team of para-professional staff to ensure that administrative activities are completed on time, according to established standards, and within established budgets

    6. Strives for continuous improvement through implementing local process enhancements & sharing best practices

    7. Owns HR operational excellence when translating business strategies & decisions into effective policies and execution of all related HR policies and processes

    C. Education, Technical Skills, knowledge and experience

  10. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology or any related field

  11. 10 years’ experience in a combination of HR function or any related experience, 5 years’ experience in Management Level

  12. Good analytical thinking & communication skills

  13. Good command of written & spoken English

  14. Good computer skills (MS Office, PeopleSoft)
