Employment Terms: This job isa part-time, non-benefited, FLSAExempt/Professional position in Health Sciences Division that reports to theProgram Director – Emergency Medical Services. This position will be teachingcourses at the Lawrenceville and Alpharetta North Fulton Campus.

Salary – $26.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements – Bachelor’s degree AND thefollowing required certifications: NREMT Paramedic, BLS and ACLS Instructor, ITLSor PHTLS instructor, GA Level 2 instructor license (prefer level 3) plusminimum of two years work experience.

Job Description - Preparesand delivers lecture and/or lab course material. Prepares lesson plans forclassroom instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students’ progress inattaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all requireddocumentation and administrative reports. Ensures safety and securityrequirements are met in the training area. Displays a high level of effort andcommitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizationalstructure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Acceptsdirection and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts. If offered a position, employees in thisdepartment must complete the Hazardous Materials Training as well as theBloodborne & Airborne Pathogen training annually.

  • Prepares lesson plans for classroominstruction for general core courses.

  • Evaluates students’progress in attainting goals and objectives.

  • Ensures safety and security requirements are metin the training area.

  • Displays a high level of effort and commitmentto performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure;demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.

  • Accepts direction and feedback from supervisorand follows through appropriately.

  • Assists with recruitment retention and jobplacement efforts.

  • Performs other duties asassigned in the fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of GwinnettTechnical College.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
