Job Description

The OEM Application Engineer Intern will perform various tasks: customer support, data collection, testing, and documentation of product features/functions. Process mapping and support system development will be major projects.

The Intern will be a resource to the OEM application engineering group. The OEM application engineering group supports multiple development projects and current manufactured products (sensors, cores, pan/tilts, integrated systems).

Detailed Description:

  • Work with an interdisciplinary team to support FLIR OEM products (ie Boson, Tau, Quark, Cooled, UAS, others).

  • Become an expert in how to operate various products.

  • Become familiar with various system level testing procedures.

  • Support FLIR OEM customers, responding to technical questions from our customer base.

  • Data analysis and presentation of data/trends to team.

  • Expand OEM Knowledge base, documenting frequently asked questions (FAQ) and improving our product documentation.

  • Support technical demonstrations and presentations for customers and internal review.

Requirements:

  • Must be nearing graduation to receive a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ie Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related area of study).

  • Ability to communicate orally in front of customers and large groups and proficient in writing technical documents - desired

  • Experience programming in Matlab and/or Python - desired

  • Data analysis skill - desired

  • Proficient Excel skills – required

  • Must be a US Person: US Citizen or have Permanent US Resident Status.
