Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Proposal Manager in Fairfax, Virginia (VA).Overview:While a large business, the client operates with a 'small business philosophy', where every member of our team is valued and is expected to bring value is many areas. The Proposal Managers bring their critical thinking and creative approach to resolving problems to all phases of the BD lifecycle, being involved in pipeline planning and deal positioning to capture discussions and shaping of win strategies. Join a robust Proposal Team where we all support each other on every deal.You will be joining an already robust team that currently includes 3 Proposal Managers, 2 Proposal Coordinators, Writing and Graphics resources, and a 3-5 FTE solutions group. While every deal has a clear leader and support roles, we help each other out on all deals. Everybody in our group knows they can turn to their colleagues for assistance. We value the role Proposals play in growing the business and the contributions we make throughout the BD lifecycle. You're more than 'just a standard Proposal Manager'. We are looking for someone who believes they have talents/skills/leadership that sets them apart from a 'standard proposal manager' who merely provides the artifacts and remains reactive. The assumption is that all candidates can deliver standard proposal artifacts (compliance matrices, proposal outlines, schedules, templates, kickoff decks etc.) and support required meetings (kickoff meetings, win theme development, review debriefs etc.). Your ability to ensure compliance with requirements is essential. However, we assume everyone competing for a deal can be compliant.

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10 years of related work experience in successful proposal development and management or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong skills and experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint are desired

  • Experience with multiple department level agencies

  • Experience serving as a Proposal Manager in both a prime contractor and a sub-contractor role in a government environment

  • Experience with all Microsoft Office suite products including expert ability with Word

  • Understanding of and experience with Federal Government procurement practices including basic understanding of FAR requirements and standard Federal Government solicitation organization

  • Strong writing skills, and proven experience reviewing, writing, and editing proposal content

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

  • Proven ability to win proposals in a competitive environment

  • Ability to support a broad range of proposals, from quick turn task orders, to large scale and complex IDIQ or GWAC bids
