IBM Cloud Resiliency Orchestration Infrastructure Specialist (m/w) in DEU, Germany
As a Orchestration Specialist for the Service delivery team, you’ll be customer facing and also will work cross-functionally across business within IBM company. In most cases with Partners, Customers to Understand customer existing infrastructure and architecture deployments to map them into IBM Resiliency Orchestration solution (Sanovi DRM solution ) and provide product implementation, Support, and support onsite for DR drills as needed.
The Orchestration Specialist will work closely with Partners and IBM project managers for implementation activities from understanding SOW, doing Project Kick-off, Doing presentations to executives and customer technical teams, Implementation of IBM-RO at customer place, Testing the deployed IBM-RO solution in customer Live/Production environment, Training to Customer/Partners Operational team, Run-Book documentation and Project Handover to steady state support.
They will also, work closely with Internal / External / Support team to understand customer issues, and perform detailed debugging to provide concrete solution. And ensure SLAs are met and guarantee process compliance.
They will be Travelling to customer locations (outside of base location) for Implementations or consulting requirements.
BCP-DR Application Architecture Understanding
Understanding customer IT-DR for On-Prime / Off-Prime / Hybrid infrastructure for the application, and understanding DR-DRILL Manual RUN-BOOK, to map them into IBM Resiliency Orchestration solution (Sanovi DRM solution) And build custom solutions using scripts (TCL/Shell/Batch/PowerShell/Expect) and integrate with product to meet customer requirements.
Content Maintenance – Perform updates, revisions and removal of content in the engineers area of expertise and ensure currency of technical content, Materials subject to maintenance include: LLD, HDL, Solution Design/Approach document, Technical Reports, PPTs, FAQs, White papers, etc.
Training – Develop Operational (or) technical training contents in the form of PPT presentations, Demos, and Webinars for the implementation landscape (customer environment). Training audience will include Internal / Channel Partners / Customers.
Education and Self Development – Continue to develop Subject Matter expertise through external and internal training and excel as a technical evangelist in the latest Disaster Recovery area of expertise.
Customer Interaction – engage with IBM Sales/Presales when required and provide subject matter expertise / demo’s and participates in sessions with Executive briefings with the customer. This involves briefing and discussion at Executive level. Along with key responsibility of implementing product on-site at customer place coordinating with customer/customers-vendors/partners.
As a Subject Matter Expert in your area of work, you are required to blog, write whitepapers consistently.
Technical Skills & Job Requirement:
Strong understanding of the Data Protection (Back-up & Recovery, BCP-DR, Storage Replication, Database Native Replications, Data Archival & Retention) for application workloads such as MS SQL, Exchange, Oracle, SAP, VMware, Hyper-V, azure, AWS, Blumix etc.
Extremely good hands-on experience with Standalone and Clustered UNIX (AIX/Solaris/HPUX/RHEL/etc..) and Windows platform
TCL / Shell / Batch / PowerShell / Expect Scripts or similar scripting languages is must. Strong experience in using the conditional statement, loops, list items, get string & date manipulation etc. Should be able to write scripts to integrate with different technologies using CLI's/API's.
Understanding and strong knowledge of any Storage Replication technology with various DR Scenarios
Understanding and strong knowledge of any Database and Replication Technologies with various DR Scenarios.
Should be able to design/architect and build LLD, HLD, Implementation Design document and deployment of end-end data management workflow is must.
Should have worked on On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid architecture models.
Knowledge of Virtualization database/storage solutions is a must
Manual DR-DRILL experience is must
Understanding of cloud architectures.
Strong verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills and should be able to communicate across the hierarchy of management and influence investments in the area of work.
Ability to plan, outline, scope technical project and drive project to closure and deliver in time.
Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization in all the geo’s and should lead/work-independently and drive implementation projects.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BE, B Tech, MCA)
8 to 10 years’ experience.
Knowledge of DR Solution and implementation
English and German : Fluent
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BE, B Tech, MCA)
10+ years’ experience.
Knowledge of database/storage/Replication solutions is a must.
