Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager (Data Governance) will partner with internal stakeholders and external clients to incorporate innovation in RegTech, seek to understand their data usage, priority consumers, and regulatory landscape to define data governance solutions pertaining to regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role will support the strategy and product development of tools required for data governance and financial reconciliations. This function requires strong project leadership/management skills, regulatory compliance expertise, experience in data governance, regulatory project experience, an acute attention to detail, as well as a working knowledge of the financial or other regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as senior regulatory compliance SME responsible for understanding specific statutes, regulations and legal landscape to contribute to department strategy; product offerings, development, and implementation; and client solutions

  • Work with clients to understand goals and recommend creative solutions that leverage existing products and stretch use cases to deliver client-centric solutions

  • Lead a collaborative team where a variety of business partners come together to design and implement a solution that exceeds client expectations

  • Influence product roadmaps by identifying and prioritizing solution gaps, based on SME knowledge and client feedback

  • Serve as a senior team member that contributes to developing and achieving overall department strategic goals, products, and offerings

  • Work closely with internal and external clients to resolve challenges and escalated issues. Then capture those details to improve processes and products moving forward

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 plus years’ experience in business analysis and project management in financial or other regulated industries.

  • Minimum of 7 plus years’ experience leading the development of business requirements and functional specifications.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in supporting Data Governance programs, especially data quality, data dictionary and data lineage.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience understanding the importance of data as the business driver and has a knowledge of the regulatory requirements (e.g. CCAR, BASEL, AML, GDPR, FATCA, HIPPA, CECL, etc.).

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree*

  • Must be able to travel up to 80%

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Data integration and developing Data Operating Models/Framework and implementing data management tools.

  • Strong listening, verbal/written communication skills with ability to tailor message to audience.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and must possess strong sense of accountability and ownership.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently

  • Ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasks.
