This is a proposal position (contingent upon contract award).
The Communications Planner supports and maintains the communications operations for all USFOR-A J6 projects throughout the AOR as well we review operational plans, FRAGOs, Deployment Orders,and other military tasking documents.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Shall review all contractor provided Engineering Documents for format and technical accuracy.
Shall provide direction to contract teams on workload activities.
Shall ensure contract teams have necessary tools, equipment and resources to accomplish the mission.
Shall manage implementation of communication systems projects and plans.
Shall coordinate and facilitate communications installations to include frequency authorizations, civil worksauthorizations, logistical work, and other aspects as required.
Shall ensure communications systems architecture, configuration, and integration conformity by coordinating engineering data with USFOR-A J6leadership.
Shall consolidate monthly reports of all communication projects as required by the task order.Shall act as a liaison with the USFOR-A personnel to support CENTCOM operational requirements.
- Candidate shall have working knowledge and ability to lead Military Decision Making Processes
Candidate shall have a minimum of four (4) years of experience managing communications projects.
Must have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Must be able to function independently.
Travel:20% across various locations in Afghanistan
