GENERAL FUNCTION: The Director of Analytic Insights is responsible for providing thought Leadership to and collaborating with the bank's senior business executives to identify and solve for significant performance improvement opportunities throughtheapplication of more structured analytical tools and solutions. The leader will identify and prioritizing the most promising opportunities, and building a business case (for more complex initiatives) to clarify structure/scope and quantify impact.Lesscomplex projects can be undertaken directly by the Insights function. The Leader will then act as project manager across the full project queue, including working with peer DSG team on the complex initiatives to develop the specified solutions andthenmanage their implementation in the client organization. The leader will be responsible for all executive relationship management, prioritization and management of the cross-business project queue, and ensuring target performance impact is achieved.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish strong partnering relationships with each line of business and functional Leader and develop strategic grasp of their businesses and objectives; act as both thought Leader and champion for Decision Sciences, and more specifically onhowInsights can drive substantial improvements in business performance.
Working collaboratively with executives of each business/function, lead a comprehensive assessment to identify opportunities/issues where the application of structured analytics (beyond the core DSG responsibilities) can delivermeaningfuloperational/performance improvement, then validate and value each idea in order to prioritize potential initiatives.
Lead Insights teams in pursuing selected projects directly, while for more complex initiatives overseeing development with the core DSG team; in both cases, Insights will play a project management role in managing both the internal#client'relationship and the development and delivery of analytics solutions and/or tools.
Proactively engage Strategy, Marketing, LOB, Innovation and other teams to build close coordination of efforts to avoid any duplication of effort/initiatives and address any potential conflicts in priorities.
Build effective insights processes, protocols and standards, as well as performance metrics for evaluating the business impact of discrete initiatives as well as cross-team contributions.
More broadly, work to build supportive, constructive and open relationships with key business leaders, representing DSG and the Insights team as a team player and champion of collective action # all in the context of being a respected thoughtleader,at times provocative and challenging, but always a reliable and objective colleague.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
. Bachelor degree in Business or related field. Advanced degrees preferred, but not required.
. 8-10 years of direct experience in consulting and/or analytical leadership
. Must be a business savvy strategic thinker with applied analytics experience, likely gained through a mix of management consulting (or internal consulting) and corporate analytics roles.
. Demonstrated facility for unstructured problem solving, with ability to identify and solve for business opportunities and challenges through framing and delivering analytically driven solutions.
. Industry experience in financial services preferred, but is not required.
. Strong competence in the use of analytic techniques and methods, framing analytical and decision science approaches which generate performance enhancing solutions. Includes structuring complex and ambiguous business issues, developingandsynthesizing data intensive/analytically rigorous findings, and generating creative and innovative business solutions.
. Track record of building and leading productive senior client relationships; must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building enthusiastic support for new ideas and converting resistance to endorsement.
. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing.
. Independent and highly self-motivated.
. Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
