The Federal Financial Management Specialist will serve as a member of a large project team supporting the client's financial improvement and audit readiness efforts for mission critical assets. The team member will be expected to develop the client's audit readiness strategy for achieving audit readiness, and monitor execution and performance of the underlying audit objectives. This individual must have a deep understanding of federal accounting requirements to identify and document client audit risks, and help guide remediation of corrective actions. Additionally, they will directly interface with client leadership on a daily basis to keep them informed on all relevant matters.
Minimum 5 years experience serving in an advisory capacity in one or more of the following capabilities: federal accounting and/or auditing, federal financial statement audits, audit/internal controls testing
Minimum 2 years of Federal Government Accounting, Auditing or Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR)
Minimum 2 years experience accounting and/or auditing
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
US Citizenship required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
CDFM, CGFM, MBA
Experience with one or more of the following:
DOD / DON FIAR experience
Federal IT Budget
OMB Agency IT Portfolio Summary (formerly Exhibit 53);
Major IT Investment Business Case (formerly the Exhibit 300)
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
