Position requires occasional travel, sometimes overnight. Some nights and weekends also required.

Job Summary

To recruit prospective graduate students to the university and counsel them on the admission process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruit graduate students from Texas, the United States, and international markets. Responsible for the development and implementation of a written and electronic communication plan for all markets (Texas, US, and international). Participate in off-campus and on-campus events including, but not limited to preview days, college fairs, classroom presentations and University booths. Develop goals and objectives for all markets (Texas, US, and international). Monitor weekly, monthly and yearly progress towards goals, including monthly and yearly reports about territory. Counsel prospective students and families at various stages of the the Graduate search cycle about the admissions process educational opportunities at the University.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any business or related field. Two (2) years of experience counseling students in academic and scholastic matters, with a broad knowledge of institutional admission requirements or the equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

A MASTER’S DEGREE IN EDUCATION, STUDENT AFFAIRS OR RELATED FIELD AND 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN ADMISSIONS, ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT, ACADEMIC AFFAIRS OR STUDENT AFFAIRS. EXPERIENCE WITH THE RECRUITMENT OF STUDENTS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS, INCLUDING HIGH PERFORMING STUDENTS.
