What are the job responsibilities?We are seeking an Operations Specialist to work in Producer Services at Voya Financial's Windsor, CT office.

Using the knowledge of their assigned Operations business organization to make independent, creative, technical/process flow contributions to defining user requirements, user acceptance testing and implementing business-driven solutions.

  1. Serves as technical and business process experts for the staff and management of the operations area supported.

  2. Formulates and defines business scope and objectives through best practice research and fact-finding, combines with a knowledge of industry, business process and system opportunities.

  3. Develops or modifies processes to resolve moderate to complex business issues by working with IT/BA support as necessary; includes analysis and documentation of business and user needs which support project system requirements.

  4. Competent to work at a high level of business complexity and understands system options, considers the broader business implications of solutions and anticipates future needs.

  5. Supports business requirements gathering and documentation for medium to large scope tasks. In addition, is able to direct and participate in system acceptance testing where necessary that ensures business requirements are met.

  6. Has a high level understanding of the data available and can provide analysis to support management reporting and quality control of all processes.

  7. Lead small to medium sized projects that may involves processes, systems and workflow.

  8. May assist in training and mentoring of other employees.

Who is our ideal candidate?Our ideal candidate will be able to assist a Business Analyst in the business process changes that will be taking place within our retirement system enhancement. This individual will be working closely with our IT team so it is highly desirable for this person to have a background in technology system enhancements.

• College degree or equivalent work experience

• 2 – 4 years prior experience in an environment that requires analytical and communication skills, preferably in commissions

• Previous experience in process or system improvement projects.

• Proficiency with spreadsheet, Microsoft Access and word processing application
