HR Generalist

Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and administration of all aspects of Human Resources services for the Winchester site. Key responsibilities include policy administration, staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, organizational development, HR regulatory compliance to meet the business strategies and customer requirements for the site.

The HR Generalist, in partnership with the Winchester HR Coordinator, is responsible for coordinating new hire orientation, data entry into the HRIS System, administration of ComplianceWire learning requirements and training initiatives across the site. This position also supports site wide events, communications and initiatives in conjunction with the HRBP’s and HR COE staff as appropriate.

The Role

  • Provides general human resources services to the respective business partners and employee population, answering HR related inquiries.

  • Establishes and maintains an effective and credible relationship with both management and employees; works closely with line management to provide support, planning and problem solving; fosters open communication with business partners and employee population.

  • Serves as a super-user (SME) for Workday (HRIS), TMS/Taleo (recruiting) and Compliance-Wire (Catalent’s on line learning management system) and various project management tools (Transaction Manager/Microsoft Project).

  • Assist with implementation and administration of an effective performance management system for aimed at improving employee and organizational productivity.

  • Assists in developing appropriate training and development initiatives to meet regulatory compliance.

  • Assures compliance with employment laws and regulations.

  • Ensures regulatory compliance in HR initiatives.

  • Oversees employee file maintenance in compliance with record keeping requirements, both internal as well as regulatory.

  • Assists in directing HR Coordinator in their responsibilities and interactions with clients

  • Provides backup to HR Coordinator for payroll and leave administration activities

  • In partnership with the HR Coordinator, processes new hire and terminations paperwork with absolute accuracy for reporting purposes.

  • Leads new-hire orientation and onboarding in coordination with the HR Coordinator.

  • Provides back up to HR Coordinator in performing data entry and generating data reports from HRIS (Workday), ComplianceWire, Taleo and Catalent’s Performance Management systems, including processing of employee-related actions. Ensures accuracy and may audit employee data in HRIS to maintain data integrity.

  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and provides summary and trending data to senior management

  • Facilitates Benefits Annual Open Enrollment training and process

  • Assists employees with routine compensation and benefit questions.

  • Coordinates and assists with employee activities and communications at the Winchester facility.

  • Other HR projects and task as assigned.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent). Equivalent work experience is acceptable.

  • PHR or SPHR preferred

  • 2-5 years broad and progressive experience in human resources

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment (24x7 scheduling variations) is preferred
