DREAM SYSTEMS Electronic Systems Technician in WESTON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience in the service and installation of audio, video, and /or audiovisual and presentation systems preferred. Preferred educational background would consist of formal technical electronics training. Computer literacy skills and control systems programming familiarity through on-the-job experience or certification. The ability to work independently, be self-directed and inter-act with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner has direct results on success in this position. Efficiently pull, terminate, label, and test cabling between audio, video, data, and control equipment. Correctly and safely mount, test and calibrate equipment including touchscreens, projectors, screens, monitors, cameras and speakers. Correctly configure and set up equipment per spec or drawings. Proactively identify areas of concern in a system design related to equipment integration and end-user functionality needs. Communicate with the client, project manager, lead technician, salesperson, and engineer with status updates, issues, and suggestions, attending job progress meetings as necessary. Compile system check out testing paperwork, and perform system tests to verify proper functionality. Perform training on system operation for clients. Train and mentor other technicians on equipment wiring and operation. Work with subcontractors and/or third parties as necessary. Identify integration inefficiencies and propose solutions. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: AV experience preferred Travel required, sometimes on a last-minute basis. Overnight stays on rare occasions. Night and weekend work on rare occasions. Must be able to climb ladders up to 20' tall and lift up to 60 lbs. Must be able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces and at times exposure to dust dirt and noise Solid written and verbal communication skills Understanding of video, audio, and control connectors and cabling Ability to solder Ability to read schematic drawings Knowledge of programming systems and interfaces and equipment configuration.
