Job Description


The Producer must possess the ability to direct an Olympusat Entertainment (OE) project from the concept and design phase all the way through final production. This position requires an energetic, creative individual who will seek to 'push the envelope' in terms of envisioning and creating innovative, high-quality productions in an effort to reach a wide audience. The Producer is responsible for producing and editing OE projects that may be distributed both nationally and internationally. To work with all clients (internally & externally) from Government Agencies to independent producers and everyone in between. This position reports to the VP or Original Productions


  • Reading, researching and assessing ideas and finished scripts

  • Commissioning writers

  • Building and developing a network of contacts

  • Using computer software packages for screenwriting, budgeting and scheduling

  • Pulling together all the strands of creative and practical talent involved in the project to create a team

  • Maintaining contemporary technical skills

  • Organizing shooting schedules - dependent on the type of producer and availability of support staff

  • Troubleshooting

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes of practice and health and safety laws

  • Supervising the progress of the project from production to post production

  • Holding regular meetings with the director to discuss characters and scenes

  • Acting as a sounding board for the director

  • Bringing the finished production in on budget

  • Managing all aspects of legal work to guarantee product maintains on schedule

  • Manage multiple productions at a time.


  • Bachelor's Degree or technical degree in Audio Engineering or related field preferred.

  • Previous professional experience in audio industry required.

  • Strong communication skills, written and oral.
