We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Corporate Communications Manager located at our Canton MI Office.

Summary:

This position is a responsible for developing and implementing the corporate strategic communication plan. The position will partner with the various business unit managers and strategically implement internal and external communications and community relations projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for communications budget

  • Responsible for corporate strategic communication plan and developing and maintaining the corporate image

  • Responsible for corporate communication policy

  • Responsible for assisting department heads with internal employee communications & publications

  • Responsible for designing and managing community relations projects

  • Handles internal and external corporate communications

  • Media communications

  • Employee Newsletters and corporate announcements

  • Social Medial

  • Website

  • Works as a liaison between Michigan operations, parent company PR department and media

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with local and municipal government officials and media representatives.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Corporate Communications and Community Relations roles

  • Experience with media relations

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree - Masters Degree a plus

  • Degree in public relations, marketing or communications desired

  • Experience managing a department and a department budget

  • Experience working with social media and with media relations

  • Experience working with government officials

Job Requirements and Skills:

  • Must have excellent written and oral abilities

  • Good organizational skills
