CACI International Microsoft Project Server Administrator in Washington, District Of Columbia
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Microsoft (MS) Project Server Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for supporting the Microsoft Project Server 2010 environment for our client located in Washington, DC. Candidate will work as a member of the Program Management Office (PMO) and provide assistance to the executive management, Project Managers (PMs), and Integrated Project Team (IPT) members in establishing the projects, providing guidance and best practices while supporting the Microsoft Project environment.
Administer the Project Server environment – tasks include, but not limited to, managing permissions, add/change/delete users, account maintenance, import/upload project schedules;
Work with PMs to create tasks within the Project Server/Project Web Access (PWA) environment;
Perform “closing” of monthly task and hours within PWA to assist the PMO and Contracts teams with monthly reconciliation tasks and reports;
Assist resources with updating and modifying Project Server PWA timesheets and tasks;
Develop, maintain and support custom solutions (templates, workflows, views, reports, dashboards, calendars, schedules, etc.);
Work with members of the PMO to manage the enterprise resources;
Configure Project Server/PWA environment;
Troubleshoot issues related to the Project Server/PWA environment;
Provide end user training and support, and develop training materials/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for system users;
Perform master scheduler duties to support the PMO
Gather business requirements for system use and reporting;
Provide input to SharePoint engineers on requirements and system configuration;
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of related experience.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project Server/PWA and Project Professional installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and use;
Knowledge of project management best practices
Hands-on experience in deploying, customizing, maintaining and supporting Project Server/PWA environments;
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting Project Server/Professional issues to support all levels of end users;
Proficient with Microsoft Project Professional/Server and SharePoint (Project – SharePoint integration);
A thorough understanding of Microsoft Project client/server integration;
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Candidate will need to have an active Secret Clearance
Minimum 5 years of experience implementing, administering, and customizing Project Server, providing general user support and training for the PMO, PMs, and IPTs
2-5 years of experience with MS SharePoint
