The Validation Environments Supervisor will be responsible for managing and maintaining the physicalenvironment and resources within theInfotainment/Telematics Validation Center as well as managing a team which designs, build and delivers validation test bench properties. Thisopportunity is a fast-paced role incorporating engineering, manufacturing, planning, operations,personnel and relationship management.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Work with a global validation community to understand technical requirements and translate those requirements into environment products or services
  • Manage a team of technicians with focus on maintaining and augmenting current test facilities
  • Manage a small-scale test bench assembly and test operation, including personnel, schedule, material, throughput, cost and risk
  • Provide technical oversight with test bench design and modifications
  • Order, schedule and maintain a fleet of Engineering/Development vehicles in accordance with the validation team needs
  • Provide process development and ownership to define, manage and modify validation environment development and operation processes

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience inengineering development, validation or testing role
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing planning or operations role
  • Ability to manage an engineering workforce to achieve delivery commitments
  • Working knowledge of telematics and othermajor automotive systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to develop, coordinate and complete tasks on a project schedule
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, e.g., Excel and PowerPoint
  • This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience with vehicle fleet management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
