Supplier Quality Senior Engineer - Advanced Engine Die Engineer

  • Die Engineer or Die maker with proven skills in Die processing, Formability & Die tryout of complex parts and materials.

  • Strong understanding of advanced high strength steels & manufacturing processes to provide design for manufacturing support to product engineers during advanced engineering & design phase.

  • Strong analytical skills and die tryout experience to support suppliers during part matching and issue resolution. Ability to make timely, knowledgeable decisions and direct suppliers towards corrective action plans to improve part quality.

  • Knowledge of Die Processing, Formability and interpretation of part quality data and how it affects overall BIW assemblies.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work independently with suppliers and build a collaborative working relationship.

  • Some overnight travel required in GMNA region including USA, Canada, Mexico.

Education and Training

  • Engineering degree and or 10 years of die making/tryout experience on sheet metal parts
