Electrical Integrator

Primary Responsibility: Lead integration of feature / functions desired by Program into vehicle architecture

  • Determine Bill Of Material required to package on vehicle
  • Determine feasibility of new feature is requested
  • Define the math/design/packaging bandwidth for all future usage of a new component required
  • Lead application (packaging) of engineering solution into vehicle architectures

Subsystem Architect (Switches)

Primary Responsibility: Lead (vehicle packaging) integration of electrical and infotainment components in a vehicle architecture to create a balanced vehicle

  • Create a balanced physical integration strategy for electrical components and wiring
  • Work with both electrical and architecture teams to enable balanced vehicle design with a customer focus. Use data-driven decisions with the tools available (wiring cost studies, module sourcing data, packaging studies, competitive benchmarking)
  • Track all electrical components required to be packaged to ensure there is a ‘home’ and in data-banked in UG Math.
  • Ensure thatProgram Leaders have a clear understanding of open critical packaging concerns – and facilitate resolution

Education and Training

  • Bachelors of Science: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Required Skills and Experience

  • Five + years of experience within Electrical and/or Infotainment engineering areas, preferably with Product Design / Release experience

  • Experience with Switch Design & Packaging (Preferred)

  • Experience with vehicle packaging integration

  • Familiarity of electrical schematics & electrical architecture plan views

  • Strong understanding of our customer and their needs; customers are our final vehicle customer

  • Proven leadership skills which translate to high degree of inner self confidence and ability to motivate others

  • Exceptional cross-functional communication skills of complex issues to enable world class designs, packaging efficiency and vehicle integration, within and across SMT’s

  • Demonstrated ability of “dealing with ambiguity” to enable timely decision making

  • Consistent collaboration of Global & Regional teamwork for critical issue resolution

  • Ability to manage a multitude of assignments with high levels of composure and effective implementation
