Senior Infotainment Lead Systems Engineer Architect

Define future infotainment features/functions and architectures including creating detailed requirements for technical implementation. Interact across organizations to ensure features/functions are integrated effectively into the vehicle. Work with suppliers to implement new features/functions. Areas of expertise include security, remote reprogramming, navigation, audio, telematics, web development, embedded software knowledge, internet protocols, in-vehicle networking protocols such as Ethernet, CAN and MOST, USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, speech recognition and HMI design.

  • Generate infotainment technical solutions for current and new and vehicle programs
  • Provides technical leadership for advanced technology development
  • Performs complex design analysis at the system,hardware and software levels
  • Perform DFMEAs
  • Develops engineering designs (including subsystems)
  • Implements engineering changes
  • Specifies and balances system requirements
  • Plans and implements test and/or development programs
  • Support releases of parts for production
  • Communicates, coordinates, and consults with engineering departments and customers
  • Stays abreast of new technology and competitive products
  • Travels as required

Basic Required:

  • Understanding of automotive infotainment system operation
  • Experienced with embedded automotive modules
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required
  • Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
  • Knowledge of engineering software and systems as it pertains to job-related area
  • Candidate should have one of the following engineering degrees: BSE, BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Basic Preferred:

  • Prototyping experience
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms
  • High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
  • MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
