Maven Advanced Development Leader

Opportunity to work in an innovative and entrepreneurial newarea for General Motors to help define the future of mobility within the Maventeam. This role is critical to helpcoordinate and define new vehicle features to allow GM to differentiate fromboth other automakers and car-sharing services.Seeking candidate experienced in defining and developing new andindustry leading vehicle technologies


  • ·To be a technical project manager working withinternal GM teams and external 3rdparty vendors to scout, identifyand technically review advanced technologies and solutions with synergy to theMaven product line and future direction
  • ·Leader responsible for pulling together alladvanced development activities for Mavens new development projects to includeworking with internal R&D teams on Advanced Technical Work (ATW)technologies and solutions
  • ·Work closely with Maven internal product ownersto define advanced feature roadmaps and technologies
  • ·Work with various external teams and 3rdparty vendors for technical reviews and scout newer technology solutions toexecute advanced planning for Maven product line, including ADC (AdvancedDevelopment and Concepts) at GCCX, CREC (Canadian Research Engineering Center) andother regions
  • ·Use successful advanced development programs toboth inform and insert into overall Maven product roadmaps
  • ·Manage portfolio of advanced projects, to includetimeline, review and approval specifications
  • ·Evaluate external company product offerings forfit with Maven future needs
  • ·Represent Maven in various GM advancedactivities
  • ·Travel will be required

  • ·Project management experience required withemphasis on technical projects and product lines
  • ·Technical Bachelor’s Degree required in IT,Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with heavy emphasis in automotiveand electrical systems experience
  • ·Experience with IT systems, including mobile(IOS and Android) and web is required
  • ·Experience with vehicle electrical systems ispreferred
  • ·Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • ·Ability to inspire others to innovate and followthrough on advanced concepts
  • ·Must be able to handle cradle to grave productdevelopment timeline, review and execution
  • ·Master’s degree in either IT, Computer Scienceor Electrical Engineering preferred
