General Motors Finance Analyst - FIN0007931 in Warren, Michigan

This is a level 7 position

This position is for a highly motivated, results driven, organized self-starter with strong analytical and technical skills. Requirements include a high level of independent judgment, decision-making, accuracy, creativity and initiative.This position is responsible for:

·Administrator of Hyperion Systems

·Developing standardized processes used for Hyperion Applications

·Prepares and analyzes various data elements and events – data analytics

·Functions as an intermediary between IT and Finance

·Consolidating and reconciling financial information fromvarious staffs and business units

·Providing robust systems analysis, consultation and decision support

·Solving complex problems, developing methods of analysis to streamline systems issues and migrations

·Performing analytics on data integrity and consistency and correcting the root cause for deviations

  • Preparing, analyzing, and selecting the best methods of presenting various data (reports, charts, diagrams)
  • Developing and presenting well thought out recommendations to key members of the organization, including executive management
  • Ability to learn on the fly; comfortable with ambiguity and handling new issues
  • Ability to handle tough projects – looking for someone who is willing to get his/her hands dirty, including “manual” processes in order to support business needs and requirements

    Basic Required

·College degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Information Systems or equivalent experience

·Knowledge and Expertise as a Hyperion System Administrator

·General finance experience; Systems and data analysis experience

·Strong technical background with emphasis on systems & data analysis

·Strong understanding of and experience with accounting & financial concepts

·Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and influence good decision making – collaborative

·Exceptional Business Acumen - ability to quickly grasp how a process works, and leverage that knowledge to drive business results

·MS Excel expertise - ability to filter data, use vlookups, if-then statements, concatenation, pivot tables, nested functions & formulas and create other logic formulas with ease

·Experience in the planning and deployment of global systems and/or processes

·Proactive, self-starter with an ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally

·Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

·Excellent oral and written communication skills (effective communications up/down/across the organization)

·Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints (Fast/Responsive)

·Strong communication skills.

Basic Preferred

·MBA preferred

·Strong technical background and business knowledge

·Knowledge of SAP Procurement, SRM, Project Systems and Ledger (FI-CO Modules)
