GM Vehicle Engineering created the Vehicle Engineering TRACK program, consisting of individually customized rotations to engage your interest and develop your skills in the following engineering foundational pillars: Design, Integrate, Confirm and Build. In each assignment you will gain valuable experience and technical knowledge while contributing to GMs overall business objectives. The program also offers early career development, leadership and peer networking, and GM business acumen through our GM Exposure Module. The Exposure Module is a 4 week immersion experience to learn more about GM and is focused around our core values: Customers, Relationships and Excellence.
Employees in Vehicle Engineering will work in one of the following areas: Advanced Vehicle Development, Body, Business Imperatives, Chassis, Computer-Aided Engineering, Cyber-Security, Electrical Components & Subsystems, Infotainment & OnStar, Interior, Engineering Operations/Business Processes, Safety, Systems Engineering, Supplier Quality, Thermal, Validation, Vehicle Architecture, and Vehicle Performance.
Seeking recent college graduates with degrees in the following majors:
Computer Science Engineering
Mechanical Engineering Technology
Engineering Design Technology
Applied Science and Automotive Engineering
Math or Statistics
Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
Job locations primarily in southeast Michigan (Warren & Milford) and some assignments in various plant locations throughout the U.S.
Some travel may be required.
Right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. High level of analytical ability. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong knowledge of basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as more specific engineering software associate with the degree major.
