Key Responsibilities

  • Develop logical feature function partitioning for current and future electrical architecture
  • Define and document subsystem interfaces betweenPropulsion System and Platform
  • Propose, define and develop interface solutions for new features and functions
  • Work with bothPropulsion Systemand Platform Subsystem Leadership Teams to gain consensus on developed interface solution which meets legislative, safety and cost requirements
  • Execute design enhancements as required to support current and new product changes
  • Develop functional knowledge of powertrain controls architecture and electrical systems
  • Interface with other technical resources (e.g. Advanced Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Hardware Development groups and Suppliers)
  • Performs analytical analysis on complex or critical Electrical Interfaces
  • Provide Leadership for CASPER Development and Documentation
  • Stays abreast of new technology and competitive products
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement of work products and processes
  • Travel as required

Required Skills

  • Experience or knowledge of Vehicle Electrical Architecture
  • Experience or knowledge of relevant tools(eg: Gears, Doors, Rhapsody, IBM Rational Team Concert)
  • Demonstrate excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and the most complex projects and assignments with the highest level of autonomy and accountability for results
  • Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Ten years of demonstrated technical knowledge and ability in relevant engineering disciplines
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

Preferred Skills

  • DFSS Black Belt Certification Preferred
