This is an PRN/Intermittent, permanent, Clinical Nurse position with the Warm Springs Indian Health Service, Warm Springs, Oregon. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide comprehensive preventive and therapeutic nursing care in an ambulatory health care setting. This position reports to the Ambulatory Care Nursing Supervisor.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): EDUCATION: Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.

REGISTRATION: Applicants must have an active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-9: 1) Your resume must demonstrate at least 1 year of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-7) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following types of tasks: providing professional nursing care principles, practices and procedures required to assess needs of patients; knowledge of pharmaceuticals, their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use; recognizing adverse signs and symptoms which are not always apparent and to react promptly in emergency situations including the implementation of life saving procedures; providing counseling, guidance and health instruction to patients; and identifying disease entities in order to recognize complications and therapeutic interventions required; OR 2) 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education or a master's or equivalent degree. Graduate level education must have been in nursing with a concentration in a field of nursing (e.g., teaching, a clinical specialty, research, administration, etc.)

COMBINING EDUCATION WITH EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements for this position.
