Northwestern State University seeks an individual to serve as a System Administrator for the University's enterprise computing environment.

Bachelor degree preferred with demonstrable experience in the following concepts or technologies; Windows server, Mac OS X server, Linux web and database servers, VMware, Active Directory and related services, Microsoft Exchange, Veeam Backup solutions, iSCSI and Fiber Channel SANs, Microsoft SQL database management, LDAP, software distribution, project management and leadership skills. Certification in any related area is preferred.
The System Administrator will provide support for the university enterprise computing environment consisting of a diverse platform of distributed systems across several campuses consisting of Windows, Linux and Mac OS X servers in addition to an extensive VMware implementation. The duties include installation, configuration, and maintenance of all critical systems with responsibility for the reliability, availability, and integrity of the enterprise computing infrastructure. The position requires using a notification device and sharing of 24x7 on-call support.
