Position Purpose

Assists with the management of the CCS / Community Living Program (CLP) to include staff scheduling, monitoring/assigning staff training classes, oversight of the CLP floater and on call staff for shift and site assignment, maintaining a current staff position control for each program site, works with CCS/HR and CLP Agency Director to accurately track and report staff openings in the CLP. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
  • Completes weekly staff schedules for each CLP program site
  • Communicates routinely with CLP Program Managers regarding staff openings, vacation coverage needed
  • Coordinates and assigns on-call and floater staff to cover open shifts that have advance notice
  • Assists Program Managers in filling open shifts that don’t have advance notice, as possible
  • Works with the Program Management staff to ensure appropriate staff coverage, matches and assistance for individuals served
  • Maintains a position control system that identifies required staff hours per individuals served per site
  • Communicates and Coordinates with CCS/Human Resources re: staff/shift openings per CLP program site. Updates and reports at least weekly
  • Maintains an electronic tracking system of all Deaf and Residential Services staff training
  • Communicates to Staff and Supervisors when training updates are required
  • Sets up classes with appropriate Instructors to meet the training needs of the Deaf and Residential Services staff
  • Responsible for the ongoing compliance with DES/DDD residential licensing training documentation standards for CLP employee files
  • Ensures proper documentation of training for staff files
  • Participates in the recruitment of staff as requested by CCS/HR and the CLP Agency Director
  • Coordinates and/or completes on-site applicant interviews for prospective DSP staff working as a conduit between CCS/HR and the CLP Managers
  • Discerns and coordinates changes in staff schedules based upon urgent requests and changes in care levels required for individuals served
  • Communicates with the CLP Management and staff using the Therap documentation and communication system*. *
  • **Assists with CLP budget maintenance through coordination of staff coverage by monitoring staff hours, wages, use of overtime, and total staffing hours for each program site
  • Maintains a staff call in and retention report that is shared and provided at least quarterly to the Agency Director
  • Participates as a member of the CLP Administrative team
  • Assists with the development of training materials for use in the Community CLP and maintains resource information
  • May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position, and will be considered by the Corporate Director of Human Resources.

  • Bachelor’s in Human Services, Education or related field
  • 2 years data entry experience
  • 3 years of experience working in the field of developmental disabilities, Deaf services and/or provision of care for individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to obtain Level One Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass drug screening
  • Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of insurance and Arizona Motor Vehicle Division 39 month Motor Vehicle Report

  • MA in Human Services, Education or related field
  • Staff scheduling experience
  • Coordination of large agency staffing assignments
  • Additional years of directly related experience
