This person will play a part in software development, support and deployment.Responsibilities:

  • Development for small project and production support

  • Troubleshooting basic application issues in conjunction with other support staff and development teams

  • Troubleshooting basic server and network issues

  • Bug management ownership (capturing, assessing and owning the rectification of system issues and bugs reported by clients, developers and release team)

  • Deployment management and automation (Building releases, documenting release notes and ownership of the quality of each release)

  • Knowledge transfer to all support parties around product developments, providing documentation on how to technically support the application

  • Writing support manuals where needed.

Technical Skills:

  • Programming knowledge in C#, Winforms

  • Ability to make tactical bug-fixes and enhancements

  • Ability to provide a basic level of support on issues

  • Direct other support personnel and developers to the source of the issue or required fix

  • Knowledge of MultiThreading model

  • Knowledge of automation scripting languages (Powershell)

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server – table joins, scripting, etc

  • Customers issues (API queries, etc)

  • Microsoft Office suite of applications with a focus on Excel

  • Windows operating systems

  • Windows Services, Windows Registry, Event Viewer, Performance Monitoring and general PC troubleshooting

  • TCP/IP Networking (Port Usage, Command Line Utilities, etc)

  • Messaging technologies (Tibco FTL, MQ etc)

  • Code simple support tools

  • Excel VBA and macros

  • Working with Real-Time Data (RTD) in Excel

  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Office Integration and COM

  • Understanding of product versioning, packaging and deployment using such tools as Git, MSBuild and TeamCity

  • Windows Server 2008/2012 and Windows XP to 10

  • Microsoft Office 2016 / 2010 / 2007/ 2003

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (2016 is a plus)
