Regional QHSSET Manager - MENAC
The primary role of the Regional QHSSET Manager will be to provide regional HSSE (health, safety, security and environmental) support for the Hydratight facilities located in region and to manage the Quality Management system.
The Regional QHSSET Manager will also support the delivery of training and development of FSE competency within the region.
The Regional QHSSET Manager is a key role providing leadership, planning, development, implementation and oversight of world class occupational health safety and environmental systems at Hydratight facilities.
Manage & continuously develop the Quality management system, including the management and continual retention of all required 3rd party certifications. To be the appointed “management representative” for external certification purposes.
Develop and maintain communication instances to monitor the Quality activities from all Hydratight facilities & projects within the MENAC Region.
Ensure a robust and efficient product traceability system is implemented in all MENAC facilities. Participate in its development if & when required.
Implement as directed company systems and ensure continuous improvement of performance via systemic change based on risk assessments, root cause analysis, audit reports and benchmarking, resulting in the continual improvement of safety and environmental KPIs
Implement and continually improve Quality related KPIs (including the cost of quality) and its visibility to facility management around the region.
The development and implementation of behavioral based safety methodology as deemed appropriate to the needs of the business and customer expectations.
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including as LEAD facilitator. To take part in management reviews to drive continuous improvement
Undertake site based compliance audits as necessary (both on and offshore)
Provides assistance to local management in undertaking risk assessments and the implementation of actions identified as required
Conduct investigations and root cause analysis of accidents/incidents with line management and drive preventative solutions, utilizing LEAD tools and techniques.
Provide support and/or oversight to field operations on safe work practices and industrial hygiene programs
To contribute towards the development of an integrated Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) Management System.
Lead quality improvement activities that result in measurable improvement in internal and external quality metrics and a reduction in the Cost of Quality.
Pro-actively seeking to avoid problems by promoting and increasing health, safety, environmental and quality awareness within the business.
Establishment and continual development of robust reporting and resolution systems & methodologies for both internal/external quality concerns.
Has an understanding of the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001: 2000 - assists as necessary in the implementation of the company management system
Use the VOC to develop mutually beneficial relationships with key customers and ensure customer expectations are met at every opportunity
Conducts regional training needs analysis and implement training and development initiatives to meet & support these needs.
Supports the Company’s appraisal and 360 degree processes and the development of individual development plans.
Develops close working relationships with regional operations leaders to develop annual FSE training plans
Ensures that equality of opportunity (with respect to training and development) is available to all existing and prospective employees.
Support the delivery of training and development of competency within the region in line with global standards and the global FSE competency matrix
Ensures own and others’ compliance with all Company standards, policies and procedures.
Provision of support in the resolution of all internal/external quality issues, establishing focused CI (continual improvement) / activities.
Works with subject matter experts to develop new training programs for FSEs in line with internal and external demands
Involvement in supplier selection/assessment activities (process based) as support to Purchasing or Procurement Continuous Improvement function
Oversee and ensure all inspection, testing, and calibration equipment tracking is inline with requirements and expectations.
Drive the build & development of the MENAC training college in the Jebel Ali facility.
Ensure all HSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization. Proactively participate to safety awareness and improvement
To represent Hydratight in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. To follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times.
Required Capabilities (describe scope of knowledge and ability of the position):
Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Competence in the preparation of technical documentation to a high standard
Proven Safety background (ideally supported by environmental and quality experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related degree, or equivalent combination of education, technical training and or industrial related safety experience
Flexibility to travel at short notice within the Region (up to 30% of the role)
