LOCATION:Commerce City, Colorado (US-CO)
Reporting to the pump shop supervisor in our Commerce City refinery, you will repair and maintain the centrifugal and positive displacement pump, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, fans, blowers, steam turbines, pump seals and support systems.
Ensure everyone in their area of responsibility selects and uses proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools to do their tasks safely
Perform visual safety checks and inspections in your area of responsibility
Attend and participate in safety meetings, maintain exemplary housekeeping standards, and complete regulatory safety training
Understand and participate in procedures and programs intended for both personal safety and mechanical integrity
Take ownership and embrace the concepts of latent cause analysis
Access and understand process safety information
Maintain the integrity of equipment as it pertains to process safety management
Communicate maintenance issues in an open, honest and consistent manner
Work as a partner with operations to determine and provide awareness of repair or service options
Report environmental contravention as required
Education and Experience:
Experience in repair or maintenance of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, fans, blowers, steam turbines, pump seals and support systems
Five or more years of industrial rotating equipment experience is preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot problems effectively
You collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
You do not take or tolerate shortcuts and if the procedure is incorrect, you fix
Work schedule will rotate between Monday – Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
You may be required for call-outs during off hours
You will be union-represented under USW 12-477
