Surveys health care organizations in the Middle East. Applies systems analysis skills and inductive reasoning skills to determine health care organizations' degree of compliance with applicable standards and functionality of care delivery systems. Engages health care organization staff in interactive dialogues on standards based issues in health care in order to assess compliance and to identify opportunities for improving compliance. Prepares management reports that clearly link individual standards deficiencies with potential systems vulnerabilities and related organization risk points. Effectively communicates this information to health care organization leadership in a constructive and collegial style. Participates in other Joint Commission Resources activities as assigned by supervisor.


The level of knowledge and experience equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a master's degree in health care or a related field. Seeking MD's, ADM's and RN’s. Current professional license in discipline required at time of hire and must be maintained. Five years of experience working in various components of a hospital and a health care system, including three years direct clinical experience, and two years senior management experience. Recent experience as a consultant to health care organizations may be considered. Critical thinking, interpersonal, problem solving, interviewing, teamwork, organizational, and written and verbal skills required. Ability to use a computer. Must to able to lift 25 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, work in settings with infectious diseases, and travel 100% of work time. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages preferred. International health care experience desirable. Intermittent positions require one consecutive week per month of availability. Training class scheduled for 2017. Focusing on candidates based in Brazil or Spain . Must also be able to speak and write fluent English. Candidates chosen for this position will be expected to participate in all components of the training program. Candidates must be able to access the internet to complete any on-line training requirements. Candidates must be able to fully participate in on-site training when it is scheduled. New surveyors are expected to complete a minimum of three precepted surveys within three months of successful completion of the training.
