The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for administration and daily management of the company’s benefits and LOA programs as well as HRIS systems development. The position reports to the HR Operations Manager.

Main responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

Administration and Management of Benefit Programs

  • Responsible for ensuring benefit enrollments are captured in HRIS database and appropriate deductions are mapped for payroll processing.

  • Monitors connection feeds to vendors to ensure timely and accurate updates, resolves errors, etc.

  • Assists employees with qualified events and collecting required documentation, ensures compliance and timeliness. Assists with benefit enrollment and coverage issues, claim resolution, etc.

  • Medical, dental, flexible spending, 401(k), voluntary plans

  • Prepares bi-weekly 401k census files

  • Keeps HR Operations Manager informed of employee issues.

  • Manages ACA measurement periods and annual tax related reporting.

  • Processes monthly benefit reconciliation and resolves problems directly with vendors.

  • Improve efficiencies within benefit processes, information flow, and vendor services. Establishes working relationships with vendors and holds vendors accountable to obtain desired service level and results.

  • General HR Support

  • Calculates, updates, and monitors HRIS to ensure time off balances are accruing and assigned in accordance with set policies.

  • Provides insight on HRIS processes and brings inefficiencies to HR Operations Manager’s attention. Anticipates reporting requests and assists HR Operations Manager in adjusting and updating system parameters to meet needs of the organization. Performs periodic audits to confirm data integrity/consistency among/within systems. Create and update reporting as required from HRB and Custom Reporting.

  • Responds to UI claims as assigned.

  • Administration and Support of LOA Programs

Ensures related disability, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation documentation and practices are in compliance with applicable rules and

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft excel and word required.

Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data for trending and root cause analysis.

Proven ability to operate independently.

Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to group benefits, including ERISA, DOL, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.

Previous ADP experience preferred.
