Mission Critical Partners Communications Consultant in United States

We are seeking a consultative “Seller-Doer” to build and manage trusted client relationships and execute project engagements to meet their needs. The role requires a commitment to success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Prudence.



  • Assigned and Develop specific client targets, and play a lead role in implementing capture plans
  • Work with support team to coordinate response to proposals, statements of qualifications, and other submittals
  • Create a comprehensive and aligned business development plan with strategies to leverage opportunities within the State of Texas and the surrounding region
  • Become trusted advisor to key clients and stakeholders for strategic planning and tactical decision making
  • Utilize existing relationships, meet sales targets resulting in client satisfaction and profitable engagements
  • Research, discover and source leads. Call on senior-level executives and forge new client relationships
  • Close new business deals. Understand our client’s needs and requirements; develop and negotiate project contracts, and review client/contract specifications with project teams
  • Build and maintain a sustainable sales backlog and aid development of annual sales plans for the company. Report on business development activities weekly
  • Provide positive client relations, working with them as partners to develop long-term and meaningful relationships for mutual benefit
  • Lead procurement processes including RFQ and technical RFP activities. Negotiate with clients to adjust and amend scope of services
  • Seek out engagements to market MCP via speaking and writing outlets
  • Support and promote our core values, the team and leadership in achieving the MCP corporate mission and goals
  • As part of our Growth Team, develop ongoing programs, and proposal statements of work for additional services Doer

  • Comprehend and articulate client’s objectives and expectations to project teams and ensure alignment of project plans Implement corrective action when project and client objects are out of alignment

  • Proactively manage work across matrix project teams, monitor and report on execution of deliverables, ensure overall quality and act as the escalation point to senior staff
  • Remove barriers of communication. Earn trust from our clients and key stakeholders. Create communication plans and interfaces needed to execute on responsibilities
  • Delight the client. Provide positive client relations, working with them as partners to develop long-term and meaningful relationships

Basic Requirements, Knowledge and Skills

  • 5 -10 years of experience in public sector, emergency communications, public safety and/or emergency management leadership. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5 - 10 years demonstrated success in influencing, and leading public sector and public safety leaders in a positive manner to attain constructive outcomes and/or, managing multiple client engagements in a consulting or professional services environment
  • Exemplary Communications, both oral and written. Writing for RFQ, RFP, presentations, and technical reports. Exceptional listener. Understanding client goals and how they measure success
  • Understanding client goals and how they measure success. Ability to assess client situations. Identify needs, present concepts, develop specifications and recommendations, and deliver solutions
  • Seller Doer. Proven success creating new opportunities and managing sales of consultancy or professional services for public safety and/or mission critical systems
  • Problem solver. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects issues and align results to organizational goals Skilled in the design and implementation of enterprise telecommunications and technology networks
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving capabilities are required. Ability to inspire others at all levels of the organization is essential federal, state, and local agency activities as it relates to emergency communications
  • Successful track record of developing new business opportunities for consultancy or professional services within the realm of public safety
  • Successful history with selling and managing projects that encompass Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Broadband and Wireless communications for Public Safety, Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), emergency management communications, or mission critical technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer and/or other automated sales management tools
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to drive your own vehicle to our client locations and regional offices
